Who We Are

What is CKI all about?

Circle K International is the world's largest collegiate organization dedicated to service and leadership development. Circle K is a co-ed organization through which students can find a means of responsible student activity in our community. Our student leaders to gain important skills, valuable experiences, and personal initiative.

Circle K is a member of the Kiwanis Family and students have the opportunity to make important networking contacts that will give them a head start on the job market once they've graduated from college.

Circle K activities are designed to be educational, interesting, and allow for practical experience in the area of leadership development.

College is more than scholarship, it's good times, getting to know others, finding out who you are... trying to make a meaningful contribution in the world that awaits us. CKI allows students to make long lasting friendships, accomplish goals, and to simply have a good time!

Service

Service is our thing. It's not just something we do, it's how we're wired. That's why CKI has the highest per member service hour average of any Kiwanis Family Club. In campuses and communities across the globe, we work to serve and make a difference.

Leadership

Whether you choose to lead a project, become an officer, or go all in on a district or international role, the skills you learn will serve you the rest of your life. The world needs more passionate and caring leaders, and we provide support to exercise & develop your leadership skills.

Fellowship

When we serve together we learn a lot about ourselves and each other.

The bonds formed through CKI Service can last a lifetime.
Bring your passion, your quirks and your ideas for service to community.

Tell us how you want to shine

and we will help you find a way to do it!

Our Motto

"Live to Serve, Love to Serve"

The Texas-Oklahoma District

Our two great states have a heritage of being strong and independent! Oklahoma is proud of her strong Native American heritage; known for courage, strength and independence. Texas has and probably always will consider herself to be the only republic in the Union. True to the independent characteristics of our states, the Texas Oklahoma District has led Circle K International in many ways.

For example, by the time Circle K met for its first annual International Convention as the newest member of the Kiwanis Family in 1956, the Texas Oklahoma District was already formed and two years old. We were the very first district to be officially recognized in 1957.

As the Maverick District, we were the first and sometimes the only district to consider our member units as "chapters" and not clubs. This is because we realize that we are part of something greater, not just an interest group or local "club" of collegians.

Texas Oklahoma was the first district to officially adopt the use of our initials (CKI) as a more updated name for the organization. The current CKI logo is a revised version of the logo our district developed. In additional to all this, as independent thinkers, we were the first to develop recognition programs, membership recruiting techniques, membership requirements, promotional materials, and many other programs that have been emulated by Circle K International.
